Posted by RazorbacknuttHmm. Okay so far, but skating near the edge. Then Tophawg19 skates right off it:
My Dad and I were having a discussion on the way back from practice the other night and got on the subject of in-state recruits, and why Arkansas does not have the level and number of recruits that Florida,Georgia,Louisiana, etc. have year in and year out.
He brought up the fact that Arkansas was not as big a slave state as these other places, and I realized that that had never occured to me before. Maybe this is a controversial issue, but what do you guys think??

there is some basis to this although most of us hate to think about it. the truth is people were bred much like cattle to try and get the best genes . this carryover could be attributed to todays athelete .
That's an eye-opener there. To their credit, some Hogvillains try to warn Tophawg19 off this subject. Then JIHawg sounds off:

The idea that blacks were "bread" as slaves and the stronger survived is funny to me, and ludicrous, if you think about it. Slavery lasted what, 75 years in this country? Does anyone with a hint of understanding of genetics think in 75 years some selective breeding could have achieved some results? Think about how perposterous that is. Maybe 500 years, but 75? Right.
Smarter Hogville Analysis: Razorbacknutt, you're just a Nugger. Quit making excuses for Nutt's poor performance. Unless there is some way we can blame Nutt for the lack of quality black talent in Arkansas. Hey, anybody who knows: Did Nutt's family own slaves?
We aren't sure whom to pity more: The guy who believes that slaves were bred like common farm animals, or the guy who believes that American slavery only lasted 75 years. Hey, JIHawg: If we told you that slavery's duration here was closer to 500 years than to 75 years, would you believe that selective breeding could have achieved results?
These people can't be this ignorant; this has to be a joke...
(Dumber) Hogville: We're not racists--we have black members! Some, anyway, that we "bread" for that purpose. Also Jimmy "the Greek" was right.

I found your blog from a mention in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch discussion forums. Bernie's Pressbox, to be exact.
I've read a few pages, and it's very entertaining. Nice job.
Unbeleivable.
Wait? What am I saying? This came from Hogville.
