An interesting question, no doubt. But LSUFan, "A Hog in Tiger's Clothing," has a more interesting answer.

I'll tell you why. The posse is beginning to crumble. In a buzzed state, one of the posse members told a VERY good friend of mine that HN signed off on the email from Prewett before it was sent. You get the computers, you find the final nail in the coffin.

Smarter Hogville Analysis: Every one of the "posse" is inherently untrustworthy, but I have secondhand information from a VERY good (but anonymous) friend of mine that a member (anonymous) of the untrustworthy "posse" accidentally gave my VERY good friend (anonymous) information that coincidentally happens to confirm something that I believe, so I believe the information.

We again see the Zac Tubbs Effect at work--that Effect being that all people are telling the truth as long as it fits the bashing, otherwise they are lying. For example, Zac Tubbs was telling the truth when he said the entire program was scum, but lying when he says that he was misquoted.

Let's assume that what LSUFan says is not entirely fabricated, which is the most likely explanation, but instead is entirely true. We know from 2.5 million Hogville posts on the subject that every member of the "Posse" is a fat, low-down, dirty, lying whore. Get a few drinks in this particular skank member of the Posse, however, and she might was well be on truth serum. She may have been a lying piece of crap up until now, but LSUFan can assure you that not only did she say this to "a good friend," but she wasn't at all talking out of her butt when she did so.
