That's why he'll be here at least until the end of the season. Much like Nolan left the cupboards empty with player talent, HDN has not much in the way of caoching talent. I want him gone as bad as ANYONE, but he's created job security by surrounding himself with less-than-stellar assistants. His ego won't let him become surrounded with great coaches that may show him up. That's why there isn't an interim head coaching prospect on this staff.

Smarter Hogville Analysis: In order to protect his job, Nutt has made sure to hire a crappy staff. That's why:

1. The RB coach only had an OC job that he left to come to Arkansas.
2. The DC was hired only away from another BCS school for big money.
3. The offensive line coach is only generally considered one of the best in the country.
4. The defensive line coach is only a very highly regarded coach.
5. Former assistants have only been hired directly into the NFL, hired directly to head coaching jobs, and hired by other SEC schools.

Simply put, Nutt has assembled such a poor staff that Broyles has no choice but to keep him on, for lack of an interim replacement.

Brilliant logic that, as of yet, goes unchallenged on (Dumber) Hogville.
