A correspondent, who shall remain anonymous, reminds us of the time, very recently, when we almost quit reading Hogville.
So, Zac Tubbs makes some comments that could possibly be read as critical of Nutt and the administration. Here are his words from that article ...
“There are players claiming they’ve been lied to … If the administration doesn’t do something soon, Arkansas could be in for a long, tough season. The bad part about it all is that Arkansas has the athletes to be pretty good. But with this many distractions going on inside the program, nothing good is going to come out of it.”
I read it and thought, "big deal." Everyone knows there are distractions, and the former DB made very public allegations that Nutt lied about him to NFL scouts. Also, the stories about Mitch and Damian being lied to about the offense, etc. I was not on the team, and I am aware of all these things. Most people are aware of all these "claims." So what if Tubbs said that people are making these claims?
Of course, the crazies/poll-makers/school-suers/FOIA-senders/BAC-picketers/Hogvillians act as if this is the ultimate damnation of Houston Nutt. One of his own players sort of said something that might possibly be read in a negative way towards Houston Nutt. Ignoring for a minute that these same people have
disregarded completely every statement in support of Nutt that has appeared in the media from his players over the last 9 years, this quote, because it appeared in a newspaper (from a town of 13,000 people), marks an end to any dispute that Houston Nutt is evil.Remember now, that this reporter has more integrity and journalistic ethics than any reporter in history, so if he put it in the paper it must have been true, but ...
Tubbs says this a few days later ...
“During the interview, I said none of that stuff,” Tubbs said. “The reporter said all of that stuff, and I was just like “‘Yeah … okay … uh-huh’ and not really agreeing with him, but just simply listening to him.
“I would never say anything like that about the people at Arkansas, and everybody that knows me knows I wouldn’t say that.”
Tubbs said Monday he had no problems with anyone on the coaching staff at Arkansas and has no interest in what’s going on behind the scenes.
“Coach Nutt was a great coach to play for, and everybody on the coaching staff was great to play for and work with,” Tubbs said. “I’ve been up there for five years, and those people are pretty much my family there."I’m an alumnus now and still have alot of friends that are playing there. I support our program 100 percent and wish the team nothing but success this year."
That seems pretty clear, right? Wrong. Wrong.
The crazies/poll-makers/school-suers/FOIA-senders/BAC-picketers/Hogvillians,
encouraged by the apparent support of so-called journalist Mike Irwin know the
truth. The truth is that Tubbs is crawfishing. He's back-tracking. He was threatened by the BAC. He was threatened with banishment from the U of A. He's flat out lying.
Could it be that he was misquoted? MOTHER F***ING NO F***ING WAY. Irwin and Faldon have both basically told everyone there that such things do not happen. Reporters are above that and people are just lying pieces of s***. The crazies/poll-makers/school-suers/FOIA-senders/BAC-picketers/Hogvillians know that the first article must be true and that their reading of it must be the truth because, well, they are always right about everything. In the meantime, people who know Tubbs, some of them Nutt-haters, start posting that they had talked to him and he doesn't think anything negative about Nutt or the administration and that the explanation in the newest article is true. Good enough? F*** no. The crazies/poll-makers/school-suers/FOIA-senders/BAC-picketers/Hogvillians have already established that Tubbs is a CYA spouting, lying, pile of motherf***ing s***, so why should we believe anything he says now?
Oh sorry. They are not saying he lied. They are saying that what he said at first was true and that now it is not true when he says that he didn't say it or didn't mean it. There's a difference, you know?
In the end, the dumbest part of it all is this ...
Who gives a flying f***?
This is a single player out of hundreds under Houston Nutt who allegedly said something negative about him, but then clarified that is not at all what he said. Regardless of who is right and who is wrong, what f***ing difference does it make?
None. It is just another conspiracy/controversy/tragedy that Hogville can use to further its position as the leader in the charge to burn Arkansas sports to f***ing ashes.
Wow. Well said.

If he is so innocent of making those comments, why won't he just admit he did it and apologize?
