We just got our first taste of Blogspam, in comments to the previous post. And this piece was mighty tasty, because:
1. It is an advertisement for personalized t-shirts.
2. It is in Portuguese, with which we have a passing acquaintance.
3. It included a link to a Google translation of the page.
http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=pt-BR&langpair=pt%7Cen&u=http://camisetapersonalizada.blogspot.com/
This is like those lists of bad translations from Japanese hotels, where the instruction cards say something like "Please not to make fruit noise in the eveningtide special."
Why to be dressed as everybody? it asks. Why not to make something special and different? Either original, it makes its proper t-shirt. It places the image that to want, the text that to give will. Either only. Either you.
Later on:
It creates a homage to alguem special. (We think that is supposed to be "special someone.") It divulges its company or it creates a t-shirt of its group. It uses any image, it is the will you whom it orders.
We could get into this Google translator. Fortunately for business, however, it does not translate Dumber Hogville into Smarter Hogville. Machines can't do everything--yet.
